It was one day when my bird died when I woke up. I fell to my knees because to me it felt like a family member died. It was like as if everything in my body stopped working. It is really hard for me to let death go away in my mind. I had got that feeling of guilt in my stomach and it is painful. It felt like I couldn’t move anything. I was shivering a lot and the hair would stick up.
I didn’t treat him well like giving him enough food or water so he died. I didn’t play with him a lot but he was really friendly to me. That is how he died.
Once I knew he died I was so sad I cried for straight twenty-four/seven 1 week. I didn’t know who to play with after he died. I was all alone with no one to play with. I always use to play with him whenever I came back from pre-school. He was older and very nice to me. In my opinion he was like the ‘older brother’ I never had. Whenever I would open my cage he would come flying to my shoulder and kept saying bird language. When he died I realized the bird language was that he was begging for more food and water. I felt so guilty that now I realized that this is why he was keep coming into my shoulder. It was like on a daily bases, he would come on my shoulder and say eeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeee . It would kind of hurt my ears but since it was on a daily bases I got use to it. He would also come to my feet and climb up to my shoulders if I accidentally dropped him, so it was kind of frustrating for me to tell what he wanted. Also that time I was only four or five years old when he started doing this. My mom and dad were frustrated about him also, what he wanted and stuff. But I kept worrying about him the most because he was the only one I could play with, no one else was available that I could play with, my mom was home working and, my dad was at New York working with his workers. Also all my apartment neighbors were older than me and they had a lot of homework, so they didn’t have time to play with me. This is how my experience of death was.
